If you received an email or notification last night that day 29 was posted, I apologize. I was prepping my template while talking to my daughter and mistakenly hit publish instead of saving it. But anyway…
It’s day 29! It’s Monday, we’re back at work, and the kids are in school. I know the day just started, and some may not be at work right now, but how is the workday going for those at work? How is the day going for those preparing for work later today?
My kids were ready to go to school this morning, but I know the stories are going to knock me down when they get home. It’s either going to be a perfect day, or something like a soggy breakfast is going to be the headline news.
As you sit down, take a deep breath, and relax, think about how you treated your co-workers, customers, people on the commute to work, the barista, or the cashier. Were you feeling the love today or not? Was the coffee your ordered cold? Was your breakfast order messed up?
Whatever your issues were with the morning, don’t let it make your day. Instead, keep spreading the thankful attitude, and you’ll make someone’s day. They’ll pay it forward, and it will keep passing on.
It’s day 28! The Thanksgiving holiday has passed, the kids go back to school tomorrow, and it’s time to get back on the daily grind. Are you ready for the big Monday after the holiday?
Being this far into Notes-vember and the holiday of expressing thankfulness, are you going back to work with the same attitude or a different one?
As you sit back, take a deep breath, and relax, think about your long weekend and how you used your time to energize. Even if you didn’t have a long weekend, did you take the time to re-energize yourself? Wash all the worries of the day down the drain?
Instead of going to work upset because you couldn’t take all or some of the time off, think about how grateful the people that use your services are (even if they don’t show it). They’re grateful. You don’t know how long a prayer on the way to your parking lot they’re praying and the number of times “Thank God” was said when they saw you were open.
Things don’t always go our way, but they go that way for a reason. Make the best of it. If you don’t want to be there, only you have the power to put yourself somewhere else.
It’s day 27! It’s chilly and a little rainy today. That didn’t change or make any unwanted moods. I felt good and I always feel good when working on a cake or cookies. This is something I love doing. I’m in my happy place when in the kitchen.
From not knowing a thing about cake decorating or holding a piping bag, I went from a grocery store bakery to my own business. There are people I thank every time I touch a bag of flour or sugar. Without them, I may have gone down another path with different hobbies. Who knows?
As you sit back, take a deep breath, and relax, think about the hobby or hobbies you have. How long have you had these hobbies? Which one identifies you the most? Which do you enjoy the most?
Its Day 26! Has anyone been Black Friday shopping or are you waiting for Cyber Monday?
For those that shop crafts supplies and handmade items, there is a sale going…or should I say, its been going on for the entire month of November (Get 15% off with orders of $25 or more). There will also be a new sale starting December 1st (Get 25% off with orders of $25 or more). For the December coupon, there are only 25 available.
All I can say here is don’t hold back. What good will it do you to not show what you’re about, what you have to offer, or how far you’ve come.
As you sit down, take a deep breath and relax, think about the things you’ve always wanted to do, but allowed fear to hold you back. Its going to keep weighing on you if you don’t try. All you have to do is try it once. Get it off your chest.
It’s day 24! Today is the day before the Thanksgiving holiday, and for some odd reason, I feel weird. Not a bad feeling, but not a good feeling either. I’m not letting it get the best of me, but it changed my thought process today. I’m trying to figure out if it’s something I need to be doing other than baking pies. I feel a bit stuck.
Usually, I’d get anxious and antsy. I would overthink it and wear myself out trying to figure out what I should be doing. Now, I’m just going to let the day flow….I’m still going to bake my pies, though.
As you sit down, take a deep breath, and relax, think about a time when you were stuck and tried to figure out what it was you needed to do to get unstuck. Do you get anxious? If so, how do you handle it?
It’s day 23! Earlier today, I went live on YouTube and decided to do an art journal page. I had difficulties with the stream, but I didn’t let it stop me. This was my final layout for the Autumn. I always watched people work in their art journals; I talked about how much I wanted to start one, I finally made one, and it took me forever to start using it finally. I never used it because I didn’t know what to use it for. Yeah, I named it The Word Book, but I didn’t have any words I wanted to use.
The first page had nothing to do with a word; I just did it. It had meaning, but not the purpose I wanted. It took a collab and a storm to get me where I wanted to be with the book. I found that journaling is relaxing, no matter what type of journaling you’re doing. So if you have a creative side or like to write creatively about your day or a trip, do it.
As you sit down, take a deep breath, and relax, think about the creative ways you can release your stress or put your thoughts down. Do you consider yourself creative in any way, shape, or form? Even if you think you want to try something, try it. Don’t hold yourself back.
