April’s Projects

Hey Sweeties,

This month, I feel like I was at my best. Not cramming everything at the end of the month. Enjoying and sharing the projects in a peaceful manner. However you say it, I’m happy with it.

Here, I’ll be talking about my monthly projects all in one post. The WBCM PICS page One-Word Prompt, Livie’s Lovelies Index Card Art and Artsy Solutions’ Monthly Blog Challenge.

One-Word Prompt

I really love puzzles. As a kid, I would spend hours putting them together. Not your everyday 300-piece puzzles, but 2,000+ pieces.

Monthly Blog Challenge

Like the March project for Artsy Solutions, I made another shadow box.

Gelliuary and B&D Crafts & More Pocket Letter Swap

Hey Sweeties,

Here’s another Gelliuary project that doubles as a swap project. Without the Gelli plate, would I have survived? Not sure, but I did, LOL.

Brian of B&D Crafts & More on YouTube and Facebook started a swap for January. Be sure to check him out!

I decided to use butterflies. One because I love them, two because they were blue. When I imagined this, I just thought, icy blue butterflies and snowflakes. I added some teals and greens as well.

Let’s Make a Pocket Letter videos No. 1 and No. 2.

First Gelliuary Project

Hey Y’all,

To kick off the first of Gelliuary with a project. I made a mini journal version of what I saw from TheBookVandalShop. I watched this video so long ago. I felt the need to revisit and create it again. I love her projects

Here’s a flip through of it. I wanted to make it masculine since I always make things that seem a little more on the feminine side.

I didn’t Gelli plate the whole thing, just the signature. The pages are inserts that came with some kits. I just layered until I couldn’t see what was printed anymore. I also hit it with a few of my alcohol sprays.

It’s Gelliuary

Hey Y’all,

For January, I’ll be dedicating more time to gelli plate projects. I haven’t used my plate as much as I’d like to, so I will do it this month. I won’t post every single day, but I’ll put together some projects you may want to try.

Did You Know?

I attempted to gelli plate a cookie with icing? Epic fail. I dont think the texture of the plate liked the icing. I did use my homemade plate since it was made from food-safe products. Ill try it again, but maybe on something other than a jiggly square if gelatin.

Box Flap Mixed Media

Hey Sweeties,

After 2 weeks of training, I’m off until after Christmas. Today is just my first day in and I’m already on a creative cloud. I decided to pull out a random hand full of box flaps that I cut off the main part of food packaging and create.

I used stencils from P.M. Artist Studio. A pair of Mixed Media Queens I’ve been following for about a year or so. One of my most favorite things they make are gelli printed, stenciled, ATC’s. To me, it’s like a decorated cookie.

With my scraps, stencils, paints, alcohol sprays, texture paste, and gelli plate, I created these babies.

The tiny one at the top is my FAVORITE one. It may be an inch and a half by three quarters of an inch.

I really enjoyed making these and I may get out some more scraps to continue.
