Notes-vember Day 28

Hey Sweeties,

It’s day 28! The Thanksgiving holiday has passed, the kids go back to school tomorrow, and it’s time to get back on the daily grind. Are you ready for the big Monday after the holiday?

Being this far into Notes-vember and the holiday of expressing thankfulness, are you going back to work with the same attitude or a different one?

Motivation

A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.

Frederick William Faber

Reflection

As you sit back, take a deep breath, and relax, think about your long weekend and how you used your time to energize. Even if you didn’t have a long weekend, did you take the time to re-energize yourself? Wash all the worries of the day down the drain?

Instead of going to work upset because you couldn’t take all or some of the time off, think about how grateful the people that use your services are (even if they don’t show it). They’re grateful. You don’t know how long a prayer on the way to your parking lot they’re praying and the number of times “Thank God” was said when they saw you were open.

Things don’t always go our way, but they go that way for a reason. Make the best of it. If you don’t want to be there, only you have the power to put yourself somewhere else.
