Notes-vember Day 18

Hey Sweeties,

Day 18 is here, and so are you! I’m ready for this weekend, are you? I have cakes and cookies in the forecast. I’m going to be prepping for The Cookie Club and making much-requested snacks by the family.

Let’s Talk

We make our day what it is. We choose to be happy or sad, work or not work, eat or not eat. You catch my drift. I choose not to let anyone or anything negative dictate my life in a way that gives it or them complete control. I’m saying that things happen, and we may not like what happens, but we have the power to control how we handle it. We talked about that before.

Let’s think about it this way; I choose not to let my bad mood dictate my life in a way that gives it complete control. It’s not always others; sometimes, it’s US. We can be just as against ourselves as those we call the enemy. Some may not believe it, but we can cause our pain, and we can disappoint ourselves.

So, let’s not pass the blame when we can be the cause of our bad mood. We’ve talked about the outside negativity, so now we need to talk about the self-negativity. We’re all human, and we all do it. Don’t act like it’s not you. Accept it and push through it. If you put yourself there, you can get yourself out of it. Have you ever heard someone say that anything you can do, you can help?

Before you think it…

I didn’t wake up in a bad mood this morning. Nor did anyone upset me. I spoke on this because it needed to be said. If we’re going to work on the outside, we have to work on the inside too. Just as someone is on the outside looking in, you’re on the inside looking out.

Motivation

Get rid of the things in your life that do not feed who you want to become.

Matthew McConaughey

Reflection

As you sit down, take a deep breath, and relax, think about how much work you need to do on the inside.
