Hey Sweeties,
Day 14, Sunday, a new day! How is the new day? What is a “new day” for you now versus a “new day” before? How have all of your “new days” been since starting Notes-vember? Are you more motivated? Can you see yourself doing this every day when the month is over?
As you know, I hope your day started on a positive note and continues that way. If your day wasn’t the best and you feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, lay down and get out the other side. Does it feel any different? No, it’s up to you to make the day better, not the right side of the bed. Now go on ahead and make the best of it.
Motivation
The reinvention of daily life means marching off the edge of our maps.
Bob Black
Nothing will change if you don’t do something different. I know many of us have heard this one before. If you find yourself walking through life every day, wondering why something isn’t going as you feel it should. Think about what you’re doing. You don’t necessarily have to stop doing that one thing, you may need to change how you approach it.
Do you find that you’re bored with your routine or tired of doing the same thing at home, work, or even your leisure time activities? If you answered yes to all of those questions, don’t you think it’s time something changed?
Do you find that you enjoy or see progress in the things you do, but the progress is a slow process? Well, progress is a slow process, especially when you’re building something. So what you can do to make it a little less time-consuming is to determine whether working on it for an hour or 4 hours gives you the same results.
Reflection
As you sit back, take a deep breath, and relax, think about your routine, activities, and results. Think about how much time goes into what and determine if the more time spent is worth it or if a set amount of time should go toward it. You’ll find more time to try new things, relax more, take an actual break, enjoy a meal, have quiet time, have family time, etc.
